Diesel Dye
Diesel Dye is a visible marking system which will assist in the fight against fuel theft. This product was recently review by a national transport company based in the Yorkshire and Humber region.
How easy is it to use? - The dye is very easy to use.
Value for money? - The dye is fairly expensive £75+ VAT for one litre.
Are the instructions clear? - The instructions are really simple. The only problem is encouraging drivers to use the product because of the change to their normal working procedures.
What does it do? - When added to the tank, Diesel Dye will mark all fuel so that it is traceable if stolen.
How will it prevent crime? - It reduces the risk of fuel theft. This is a very good solution for anyone experiencing diesel theft providing the police are able to track the dye.
How successful has it been? - The dye was used in our company as an opportunity to catch the thieves. It was not made obvious to anyone that the dye was in use and the diesel was actually stolen. The offenders were caught with diesel that contained the dye.
