Background

South Yorkshire TruckWatch  was established by People United Against Crime (PUAC) in 1997 as a membership scheme that offered crime reduction advice and alerts to the road freight sector.

The initiative was a success and in 2006 South Yorkshire TruckWatch expanded to become Yorkshire and Humber TruckWatch. Working with the transport industry and key stakeholders, PUAC recognised that crimes affecting the sector are varied and occur throughout the supply chain.

Consequently in 2009 Yorkshire and Humber TruckWatch was re-launched as the Logistics Security Network (LSN).
